Issues with choppy audio?
If you are experiencing that your voice comes through choppy it might be a good idea to turn on the Audio buffer in the campaign settings. The audio buffer is a setting that adds an unnoticeably short delay to the conversation, by doing that it stores the voice packets on the receiving phone for a moment smooth out choppy audio.
You can find the audio buffer settings in Users, clicking on the relevant user and then scrolling down to the Dialer settings. For Audio buffer, you can select None, Low, or High.
Issues with voice quality?
If you are experiencing that the quality of your voice comes through poorly to the customer, such as sounding like a “robot voice”, it might be helped by using the OPUS audio Codec. The audio codec is basically the system that collects and compresses the audio from your mic before it gets sent. By standard it is set to A-law/U-law, which has low resource use. But on less stable networks the OPUS codec can be useful as it uses a few more resources to send the audio in such a format that is more resilient.
You can find the Audio Codec by going to Users, clicking on the relevant user and then scrolling down to the Dialer settings. For Audio codec you can choose between A-law/U-law and OPUS.
Are you experiencing an unstable connection?
If you are experiencing an unstable connection to Adversus there are a lot of different things that can cause this. We always recommend taking the Connection test, to see how well you connect to our server.
If you usually don't experience any connection issues but they are suddenly cropping up it might be due to an issue in the path between your PC and our server. If this is the case it might be worth it to turn on the proxy connection to our server.
The proxy connection basically adds a detour to the data stream between your PC and our server. This is not usually desirable, but if the direct path is having issues taking that small detour might make the date stream back and forth a lot smoother.
You can find the Proxy setting by going to Users, clicking on the relevant user and then scrolling down to the Dialer settings. For the Proxy setting it is a simple on or off choice.
Microphone isn’t working in Adversus?
If your agent can hear the lead, but the lead cannot hear them, there are a few things worth checking. The first things to check is that Adversus has browser permission to use the microphone.
In Chrome you can check this by opening the dialer and clicking on the icon to the left of the URL.
It will open a window, here you can click on the arrow next to microphone.
In this new window you can see which microphone is active and by talking into the mic you can see if its registers the sound correctly.
After that you should check that the Adversus system itself is using the mic. So click the More button in the top right and select Sound settings.
In the window that opens you can see if the correct microphone is being used by the Adversus system.
If the correct microphone is shown both in the sound settings and in the permissions then the settings should be correct.
If you are still experiencing errors and common fix is to reset the permissions and grant them again. The easiest way to do this is to once again open the dialer and click the button next to the URL.
Next click the Reset permissions button.
When you have reset the permissions you will need to reload the page and it will ask you to grant the permission to use the microphone again.
