Adjusting your login settings requires no special permissions.
After you set up your Adversus account, you may want to change your login settings later. To do this, go to your user settings: click your name in the bottom left and select My profile.
My Profile has two tabs:
User settings (your name, contact info, and work preferences).
Account settings (how you sign in—your username and password, and any Google or Microsoft accounts connected via single sign-on (SSO). This article covers the account settings tab: adding or changing a password, and connecting or disconnecting SSO.
Note: Account settings are shared across every Adversus user assigned to the same login — if you sign in to more than one Workspace with the same username or the same Google/Microsoft account, a change here (like a new password or a disconnected SSO connection) applies everywhere that login is used, not just in this workspace.
Account settings
At the top of My profile, you can see and change your login credentials by selecting Account settings.
Managing your username and password
Click your name at the bottom left, select My profile to open your user settings, and then select the Account settings tab at the top.
Under Login methods, your username and password (if you have one) show as a card with your current multi-factor authentication status. Click Manage to change your username or your password.
On Multi-Factor authentication, you can click Manage to activate or deactivate it.
Changing your username
Choose Change username from the Manage menu, enter your current password to confirm it's you, and enter the new username (a valid email address). This doesn't change your username immediately — a confirmation link is emailed to the new address, and the change only takes effect once you click it.
Note: If the email address is already in use as a username elsewhere, or the password you entered doesn't match, you'll see an error instead of a confirmation email.
Changing your password
Choose Change password, enter your current password, then your new one twice. Passwords must be 8–64 characters.
Please note: We reject passwords that have appeared in a known data breach, even if they otherwise meet the requirements, and your new password can't be the same as your current one.
How to log in to Adversus if you don't have a password yet (SSO-only accounts)
If you've only ever signed in via SSO, the Login methods card instead shows Add username and password with a Set up button — useful as a backup way in if your SSO connection ever changes. Fill in a username (email format), a password, and confirm it. This only works if you don't already have a password set — once you have one, use Change password instead.
Note: This is rate-limited to 5 attempts every 15 minutes to protect the account.
Connecting and disconnecting single sign-on
Under Single sign-on, on the same Account settings tab, you'll see one row per SSO domain your workspace has set up (this list is controlled by your workspace admin, not by you).
To connect one, click Connect. You'll be sent to Google or Microsoft to sign in and approve access, then returned to Adversus. Once connected, the row shows the connected email, and the button changes to Disconnect.
To remove a connection, click Disconnect and confirm. If the same connection is also used to sign into other Adversus workspaces, you're shown which ones before you confirm — disconnecting removes it everywhere, not just here.
Note: You can't disconnect the SSO connection you're currently signed in with — sign in another way first, then disconnect it. Disconnecting also immediately ends any other active sessions signed in with that connection, in this workspace and any other.
Linked accounts outside this workspace
If your Google or Microsoft account is also connected to a workspace's SSO setup elsewhere — one your admin here didn't configure — it shows up in a second list, Linked accounts outside this workspace, so you can see and manage it from here too. Each one shows how many Workspaces it currently signs into, or a Revoked by provider notice if Google or Microsoft has revoked its access since you connected it.
FAQ
Why can't I click Disconnect on one of my SSO connections?
Either you're signed in with the connection you're currently using (sign in another way first), or you're in a support/shadow session, which can't change login methods.
I changed my username, but I'm still signed in with the old one — is that a bug?
No. A username change takes effect only after you click the confirmation link sent to the new address. Until then, sign in with your current username as usual.
Can I remove my password entirely and go SSO-only?
This article covers adding a password and connecting/disconnecting SSO from your own profile; removing an existing password isn't part of either flow described here — check with your workspace admin if you want to move to SSO-only.
