Send an email or SMS the first time you call a lead that does not answer the phone

Create a Journey that sends an email or SMS the first time you call a lead that doesn't pick up the phone. It can be an advantage if they've asked you to give them a call, but aren't available to take the call.


  1. Navigate to Journeys on the menu to the left.

  2. Create a Leads Journey from the Start page.

  3. Select your trigger(s).

  4. Give your Journey a name in the top left corner.

  5. Choose if you want the Journey to Filter on all campaigns or only on specific ones.

  6. Create the rest of the Journey as shown below:

  7. If you want to send an SMS instead, simply choose Send SMS as the action and add the SMS template.
