This article walks you through how to upload a spreadsheet of leads directly to a campaign from the dialer overview.

Step 1 — Open the upload dialog

  1. Go to the Dialer front page. Here you'll see all your campaigns.

  2. Find the campaign you want to upload leads to.

  3. Click the three dots (⋮) next to the campaign name to open the dropdown menu.

  4. Select Upload leads.

Step 2 — Choose your file

  1. You'll be taken to the file selection screen.

  2. Choose the file you want to upload. You can upload in either Excel format (.xls or .xlsx) or CSV format.

  3. Click Open to proceed to field mapping.

Step 3 — Map your fields

Once your file is loaded, you'll see a preview of your data with the column headers from your spreadsheet. You now need to map each column to the correct lead field in Adversus.

  • Matching existing fields
Click the dropdown next to each column to see all available lead fields in Adversus. Search for the relevant field (e.g. type "phone" to find your phone field) and select it.

  • Creating new fields
If your spreadsheet contains a column that doesn't have a matching field in Adversus yet (e.g. "Revenue"), scroll to the bottom of the dropdown and select Create new field. You can then:

    • Give the field a name

    • Choose the field type from the dropdown (e.g. Numeric for a revenue field)

    • Tick Add field to campaign to make the field available on this campaign

Continue mapping each column — for example:

Spreadsheet column

Adversus field

Phone

Phone

Full name

Name

Revenue

Create new field → Numeric

Postal code

Postal code

City

City

Note: The Field groups section on the left-hand side controls which fields are available to map into. You generally don't need to change this.

Step 4 — Choose a contact pool

Every lead you generate in Adversus creates a contact in a contact pool behind the scenes. This contact pool holds all your leads' underlying contact data.

  • Select the contact pool where you want the contacts to be stored. If you've already created a contact pool for this campaign, select it.

  • If you don't have a contact pool yet, simply select Campaign default and Adversus will create one for you automatically.

Step 5 — Set up duplicate checking (optional)

You can enable duplicate checking to make sure you don't upload leads that already exist in Adversus.

  1. Choose the field to match on — pick a unique identifier. Phone number is recommended since it's unique to each lead. Click Match on this field next to the phone field to enable matching.

  2. Choose where to check for duplicates — you can:

    • All contact pools — duplicate check across every contact pool in Adversus (all existing leads).

    • Specific contact pool(s) — limit the duplicate check to one or a few selected contact pools.

  3. Match phone fields — tick this to check whether the phone number data exists in any phone fields in Adversus during the duplicate check.

  4. Email with duplicate contacts (optional) — you can optionally choose to receive an email with the duplicate contacts that were found and skipped.

Step 6 — Insert leads into the campaign

  1. Under Insert into campaign, you'll see a dropdown where you can choose which campaign to add the leads to. Since you opened the upload from a specific campaign, it will already be selected by default.

  2. Click Insert leads into campaign.

Your leads are now uploaded.

Step 7 — Verify your upload

You can verify the upload in two ways:

  • Contact pools — Go to LeadsContact pools to find and review the uploaded contacts.

  • Dialer — Go back to the Dialer and you'll see that the leads now appear on the campaign.
