How to enable multi-factor authentication for all accounts or individually

Written by Line Jensen

Requires administrator rights or the following permission:
Settings to set up for all users. All users can set it up individually.

If you want to add an extra layer of security to your Adversus account, we recommend enabling multi-factor authentication on your account.

If you choose to activate multi-factor authentication for all users, it's enforced every time users log in to Adversus.

This is how you do it:

1. Go to Settings and Account

2. Scroll down and check the box Require multi-factor authentication for all accounts

Now, multi-factor authentication is required for all users, meaning that next time they try to log in to Adversus, they will be redirected to a multi-factor authentication setup flow. The user will now be guided through the flow step by step.

Set up multifactor authentication individually

If multifactor authentication isn't configured to be required for all accounts, you can set it up individually.

This is how you do it:

1. Go to your profile settings (click the icon with your initials in the left bottom corner) and click on My Profile

2. Click Manage multifactor authentication

3. Download an authenticator app to your iOS or Android device

4. Click the blue Next button (DO NOT scan the QR codes on this page)

5. Open up your authenticator app and scan the QR code that comes up AFTER you have hit the blue Next button (You need to be able to scan the QR code below with your authenticator app for you to connect the app with Adversus' system).

6. Once you've scanned the QR code or entered the secret, complete the setup by entering the code generated by your authenticator app.

**NOTE: Your computer and the device you are using for the authenticator should both be set to the same time zone (otherwise you will get an error saying "the verification code doesn't match your generated token."
