Campaign segmentation

Introduction

The campaign segment option gives an opportunity to segment leads on any existing campaign within Adversus software. It allows you to manually administrate which leads should be dialable within the campaign by pausing or activating segments.

Segment Builder

First, let's start with the step-by-step guide to segmentation builder.

1. Go to Settings and choose Campaigns on the sidebar on the left.

2. Choose the campaign you want to build your segments on and click on it.

3. At the top, on the left, you should see the field called Segments.

4. Click on the Segment Builder from the dropdown options.

Types of segmentation

In the Segment Builder, you will be presented with different types of segments. Thus, in this section, we will briefly discuss each type.

Contact data

Contact data segments allow you to segment each lead into a segment defined by the desired criteria set for each individual segment. You can assign as many criteria as you want to segment and have as many cases as you like by adding several criteria or using the ''OR'' option.

You can arrange the priority of segments. This means that if one lead falls under the criteria of several segments, it will be added to the segment you chose as the highest priority.

If the lead does not match any of the segments you created, it will automatically be assigned to "None-segment".

Import

As the name indicates, the leads will be segmented based on the imports. Simply, each segment will be representative of the leads imported. That is probably the easiest segment to work with, as they are predefined by the leads and the imports from where the leads originated.

It is important to point out that if you want a new segment to be created automatically, every time you import new leads to the campaign, such automation should be set up in Journeys.

To set up Import segmentation, click on the segment and press Save settings. The segmentation should then be set up and working.

User

The User type of segment allows you to have segments on a campaign that are only accessible to specific users. Accordingly, the segments will be created depending on the user they belong to.

Using this type of segmentation helps route leads to specific users manually or through automation set-up in Journeys.

If you don't know how to assign users to the leads check this article.

Manual

In the Manual type of segments, you can create segment names in the Segment Builder, and add the leads to the segment manually through the Warehouse or automatically, by building an automated journey in Journeys.

None

If you don't feel like using segmentation at all, then this type of segment is the right choice for you. All leads will be on one segment, none-segment, available at all times to all agents.

A "None-segment" is also available on User and Manual segments if leads are added without a predefined segment. In the Contact Data segment, the leads not matching any of the segments criteria will also be assigned to the "None-segment".

To set up None segmentation, click on the segment and press Save settings. The segmentation should then be set up and working.

It is important to remember that only one type of segmentation can be applied to one campaign. If you desire to switch the segment type on the campaign, the previous segmentation used will be deleted.

Once you set up your segments, you can manage them anytime. To find more information on segment management, click here.
